Day 4 To Pamplona
Shorter day today18km. It was a hard day for me though. I have a pain in my leg that I am not sure how to treat. I have decided to take a rest day in Pamplona tomorrow and see if that helps.
I was walking with a fellow Pilgrim, Crystal, today. We had walked a lot of yesterday together as well. We decided to leave early as the forecast was for a hot afternoon. It was a mostly hilly countryside walk. We followed the River Arga the whole way which was just lovely.
Last night’s pilgrim dinner. There were 6 from Indonesia, 2 from Denmark and 2 from USA. With Crystal by the river.
The Cathedral, just outside the Albergue where I am staying
Tortilla de patatas, or Spanish tortillas. I am living on these. Potato and egg.
Beautiful architecture. Many plazas and fountains. This is a great walking city.
The death of St Ignatious. I would have walked right by it but we ran into our Indonesian friends and they pointed out that this spot is where he was killed.
All things Hemingway
Great statue of the running of the bulls.
I believe this was a church, but is now an exposition center. Not open today
A random church I entered.
The area we are staying has thousands of young people just hanging out, some drinking a beer. A very energetic spot.
